Paris Around the Clock
Paris knowns how to celebrate an all-night-party! There are whole party quartiers, among them above all Montmartre with its red-light atmosphere or the Marais around Les Halles with its uncountable public houses. The student district Quartier Latin, which is beautiful also at night, offers many pubs and snack bars in old, narrow, crooked lanes. Already for a longer time the Bastille quartier orientates itself with several discotheques on adventuresome night-revellers, too. Here you find also modern techno temples. Noble establishments for the important ones of this world or those who think to be it are located in another place, of course: You finde them around the Champs-Élysées as well as the Palais Royal.
Please mention that the métro has its service break each weekend night from 2:15 until 5 a.m. and that no trains travel. Also the bus traffic is strongly reduced; only the so-called «Noctambus'» operate the biggest métro stops in town (tickets available from the driver).
► Tip: To get informations about almost every event in and around Paris it is the easiest way to buy one of the tradition-rich event magazines «Pariscope» (€ 0,40) and «L’Officiel des Spectacles» (€ 0,35). Both were publicated always on Wednesdays, are absolutely recommendable and available at every kiosk in Paris. Included are e.g. also a completely survey of the current cinema programme, previews onto the coming premieres and partially reviews, too.
